Rock&Roll.......over???

Just the other day,I was toggling channels at random,i.e. for about an hour.It seems the most exciting things on TV nowadays are Sp(l)itsvilla and damned cry-cry family dramas(read:Whole Lotta Crap). And then I found myself staring at the TV for a minute or so..................even channels like VH1 have no space for rock and roll.
Rock and roll,pure rock and roll.Not the new-age indie rock or alt-rock stuff where the job's done smashing three or four chords(namely,G C D..............and if it's a 'talented' outfit,B minor),the vocalist giving the mic stand a gooood time,songs either speaking crap about or in memoriam of one's girlfriend or love interest.....................jeez man!!!
This is the price one pays for spending his teenage and youth in 21st Century??!!! You get pepped up and switch on Classic Hour at night,hoping you'd catch a glimpse of a Zeppelin or ACDC or Floyd or Hendrix video being played.And I don't even talk about the stuff that was less popular and all-the-more kickass to listen to.For the past three nights,my efforts have yielded videos of A-ha($#^%&) or Madonna(the only good thing about her is Guy Ritchie!!!) or Toto........all compiled into one classic hour.
So is rock and roll being considered a moment of the past?? Do we gotta wait for some
time-machine to take us back to some Floyd or Zeppelin concert way back in the Seventies?? Will it exist just as a dream and never metamorphosise into reality???
